SMART START ™ IGNITION CONTROL

SOFT START TECHNOLOGY
Soft Start technology extends the life of the lamp by stopping the current flow to the lamp and preventing overloading of the lamp. When the ballast starts cold, there will be a delay of 3 seconds before ignition. After ignition, there will be a series of random delays of 0-2 seconds before the total brightness is reached after about 3 to 5 minutes. SoftStart technology is also activated when you increase and decrease the power of the lamp using the Smart-Step function.

COMPLETE CIRCUIT PROTECTION
The CALITEK digital ballast uses a sophisticated system- controlled circuit control system that is not seen in other manufacturers’ ballasts. The system protects against a series of faults, including: open circuit protection, short circuit protection, overvoltage protection, live protection and overheating protection. On ignition, the ballast performs a 3 second circuit test and, in the event of a fault, the ballast will enter protection mode to prevent ballast and lamp damage.
HIGH ENERGY EFFICIENCY
